內容簡介
Continuing as both a comprehensive textbook and professional reference, this fifth edition consolidates and reorganizes material (sending some content to the website) and addresses the many developments that have transpired in the field since the previous (2002) edition. Chapter 1 introduces the subject at a very basic level, evoking an understanding of radiative transfer as "the most common energy transport phenomenon that we feel around us every day" and explaining how a systematic understanding has major implications in the design of industrial applications at any scale. Subsequent chapters, of course, delve into the specifics, in three groupings pertaining to blackbody radiative properties, radiative exchange in enclosures without any radiating medium between the surfaces, and the radiative properties of gases. Robert Siegel was one of the original authors but has retired; this edition was prepared by John R. Howell and M. Pinar Meng羹c. Annotation 穢2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com) |
